I have been wanting to check this place out for a minute. I was finally in the area and my son agreed to swing to take me. Best idea ever. We ordered the caprese, lasagna, soup of the day and a sandwich. Everything was absolutely 100% on point!! The lasagna was packed with meat and equally packed with flavor! The caprese...doesn't have balsamic vinegar so I was skeptical but..omg it was not nom nom. I had to call the store and let them know how happy I was with the food.

Yummmmmmmm! I loved my rocky balboa! It was so perfect and delicious and I ate the whole thing. What a great place to stop in. It's busy but super clean and the staff is friendly and efficient. We had a big order and everyone loved their sandwiches. The Brooklyn bomber, saverino, John Wayne, and Michelangelo were all delish! I look forward to visiting again

Absolutely amazing place! The lasagna is the best I've ever had! The saverino sandwich is my favorite! Clean, and cute little place. The customer service even more amazing! I drive from Big Bear on my days off just for the sandwiches. I make sure I take some home for my lunches during the week!

This place is a hole in the wall, but it's absolutely delicious. No matter what time of the day that you arrive at this place, there is always a line. That is because every sandwich from here is extraordinary and stuffed with the delicious goodness. The Rocky Balboa and Pavarotti are my top two favorite sandwiches of all time. It takes talent to make every sandwich a masterpiece! This place is mighty talented. if you are in the area, treat yourself to one of their sandwiches. Sidenote: the Victoria, which is their meatball sandwich is the only sandwich I did not like or care for. Everything else is superb!!!!

If you can, phone in your order ahead of lunch. Trust me, you will thank yourself later. It gets busy during lunchtime and if you're looking for a "quick lunch", your food comes out efficiently but you may have to wait in a long-ish line. Faves - meat plate, pavarotti, goodfella Tip - if you tip while ordering at the counter, they yell "AY GUYS WE GOT A TIP" and the kitchen will yell back thank you I love that vibe lol makes you feel at home. They do have some other selections other than hot sandwiches. They have cold sandwiches (good as well but I prefer their hot ones). Salads, lasagna, ravioli, desserts, and daily specials. Parking can be tricky. When busy (lunch hour), if you can't find parking in the marked spaces, you can park anywhere along State St. I've parked near the Circle K and walked which is not that far. You may see some Esri employees walk over from their campus down the street even - the area is walkable even from down W State Street near Mu and near SugarBloom.

This place was a recommendation while out in Redlands and it was fantastic! We came here a little before noon and the line was wrapped around the store... there isn't a ton of seating inside maybe 8 tables but they were all wiped down.. my first thought when I saw the line was I'll never make it out of here but they were quick! The line speaks for itself clearly people enjoy the food.. but the staff was fun! The gal behind the counter could not have been better she was super fun and friendly.. I ordered the Bronx which was a cornbeef sandwich with sauerkraut and sauce on rye bread... it was delicious! I could have ate that sandwich all week. The bread was toasted filled with flavor, the corn beef was fresh, and the sauerkraut was perfect. Honestly I was beyond satisfied with all the deliciousness.. I should have stopped after the first half lol it was just too good! I also got the black and white cookie to share... if you're on the fence do it... everyone loved it!

small local sandwich spot in redlands :-) parking is on the street right in front of the shop. make sure to park diagonally following the other cars! located amongst other small mom & pop shops. super friendly staff who try to remember your name & always serve you with a smile! i got their turkey bacon avocado special (of the day) & it came with chips and a pickle! i think it was around $13. such great value and the sandwich was super yummy. definitely hits the spot! as for the ambiance, this little sandwich spot does indoor seating but it's quite "vintage". a smaller establishment and usually crowded during lunch. a little run down, but that just means its a well loved and authentic, OG business of redlands!

This place is special, from the atmosphere to the food. Even the lady that takes your order and walks you down that path of selecting Italian heaven from their menu. All I can say is Delizioso!!!

If you're in the mood for a taste sensation that'll transport you straight to deli heaven, look no further than the pastrami sandwich at Saverinos! Let me tell you, this sandwich is a masterpiece. First off, let's talk about the pastrami itself. It's juicy, tender, and packed with flavor that hits you with every bite. You can tell it's been cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning and a beautiful smoky aroma that's irresistible. Now, onto the bread. It's not just any bread - it's a fluffy yet sturdy artisanal rye that's the perfect vessel for all that pastrami goodness. It holds everything together without getting soggy, which is crucial when you're dealing with a sandwich this stacked. But what really sets this sandwich apart is the attention to detail. From the way it's assembled to the presentation on the plate, you can tell that the folks at Saverinos take pride in their craft. Every bite feels like a work of art, and you can't help but savor each mouthful.

A long-time Redlands institution, Saverino's, does a steady, brisk business for pretty much the entire day. Inside, it's small and loud, between jazz playing through the speakers, orders being called out, and patrons dining or waiting. A fun vibe. Meeting my father for lunch was the occasion. I found the website to be a challenge for those who need reading glasses (mine were at home), but I think I had my plan down before going in. Basically, it's a classic grilled Reuben with an Italianeske name, and it wAs delicious! Perfectly grilled, everything was hot inside (corned beef,Swiss cheese, sauer kraut, and thousand island dressing. Dad got the Lonny, which is pastrami in a bun. He never liked pickels, but I totally would have devoured it. His looked great, and he said he enjoyed it. Both came with an included small bag of Frito-Lays potato chips. I got a side of potato salad but immediately disliked it. They used sour buttermilk, not a fan, unfortunately-so it's not a 'classic' take. Oh well, now I know.
